Plagiarism prevention
Since the summer semester of 2019, the staff of the University of Tübingen has the opportunity to do plagiarism checks with Turnitin. Turnitin detects matches to other texts and marks them for easy evaluation by the reviewer.
Who can use Turnitin and how is it used?
Turnitin is available for employees of the University of Tübingen (not the university hospital) who have a login ID. Documents can be uploaded for review via a website. The result of this test is provided as a printable test report in the browser. Here is an example saved as a PDF document.
Privacy and accessibility
Turnitin's new Originality Check service is DSGVO compliant and runs on servers in Frankfurt.
Note
The help pages currently offered by Turnitin are still partly incomplete. We gladly accept any indications of major mistakes and pass them on to Turnitin.
Turnitin Originality Check is a web service outside the hosting of the University of Tübingen. The University of Tübingen has no influence on the availability of the service.
