Health
Regular physical activity is considered one of the most important means of keeping people healthy, not only in the field of health promotion and prevention, but also in the therapy and rehabilitation of diseases. However, a not inconsiderable proportion of the population does not exercise sufficiently. Particularly among groups that are vulnerable in terms of health and social status, a pronounced abstinence from physical activity is often found. The research line Health Promotion and Prevention comprises biopsychosocial analyses of the prerequisites and health-related effects of physical and sports activity. Special attention is paid to the goal of an individualized design of sport and exercise programs that is appropriate for the target group.
