Eva Widmann studied Turkish Studies, Prehistory and Early History, and Education at the universities of Tübingen, Bamberg and Hamburg. She worked for ten years in the field of German as a Foreign Language, including at the Goethe-Institut in Istanbul.
Since 2001, she has been a lecturer in Turkish in the B.A. program “Middle Eastern Languages, History and Cultures” (SGKNO) and in the M.A. program “Islamwissenschaft / Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies” in Tübingen.
