Open Access

Open Access refers to the goal of making scientific literature and materials available on the Internet (free of charge and without any license restrictions). Under that motto, an international movement has meanwhile developed, which is particularly associated with the Budapest Open Access Initiative.

Scientific literature could be freely available articles in e-journals, preprints, or online version of editorial contribution in books or print journals, that are provided for free by scientist on servers of free e-journals, university or institutional e-print-archives, subject-related servers or on their own website.
