Researchers led by Professor and IBMI member Nadine Ziemert are investigating what the "ancestors" of today's antibiotics might have looked like. They want to learn how the next generation of antibiotic agents must look like in order to expand our arsenal of effective antibiotics. Parts of this work have been published in the scientific journal Nature Communications. Congratulations!
