Despoina Chalyvidou did her undergraduate studies in English Language and Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. During her undergraduate studies, she took part in the Erasmus exchange programme in Nijmegen, Netherlands. Throughout her studies, she developed a great interest in theoretical and applied linguistics. She received her M.A. in English Linguistics at the University of Tübingen in 2022, with a focus on role noun processing. In 2023, she began her doctoral research under the supervision of Andrea Weber.
