Based on the current state of research, we carry out practice-oriented research on competence development in schools and universities at the interface of economics, economic education, educational sciences and other disciplines.
Our goal: We support learners to cope better with varying (economic) demands. Therefore, our publications and learning material are made available to teachers and other interested parties.
In our research, we investigate among other things
- students' competence development, e.g. with regard to their reflection skills, their economic competences, their representation competences or financial literarcy
- the development and evaluation of (digital) teaching materials, e.g. in the form of video explanations
- the training and further education of economics teachers, e.g. with regard to bilingual education
- the approach of reflection-oriented didactics of economics
