Research Interests

Within economic history and development economics, I explore the underlying determinants of long-term development, with a specific focus on human capital—encompassing both health and education. The geographic focus of my research is Sub-Saharan Africa covering both the colonial and post-colonial periods. Leveraging various sources, such as archival and survey data, I employ geospatial analysis and quasi-experimental methods to address crucial questions surrounding human capital development.
