Dr. Yazid Said

Teach@Tübingen Fellow (SS 2015, WS 2015-16 and SS 2016); Participant in the Tübingen Reloaded Programme (Summer 2019)

Dr. Said was a Teach@Tübingen fellow at the Center from 2015-2016. Having been ordained an Anglican priest, he also completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge (2010) on the medieval Muslim theologian Abu Hamid al-Ghazali (d. 1111). Whilst at the Centre, Yazid taught seminars on ‘Faith and reason’ and on ‘The theology of love in Muslim-Christian thought’. He also co-edited, along with Prof. Lejla Demiri, The Future of Interfaith Dialogue: Muslim-Christian Encounters through A Common Word (Cambridge University Press, 2018), which they presented in summer 2019 as part of his stay within the ‘Tübingen Reloaded’ Programme. Dr. Said is presently Lecturer in Islam at Liverpool Hope University (UK).
