Presentation of the final report on the KIM study on inclusive disaster management

DRK Disaster Risk Reduction Symposium.

On April 23, 2024, Friedrich Gabel presented and discussed the results of the KIM study (inventory of disaster management and the inclusion of people with disabilities) at the DRK Disaster Risk Reduction Symposium.

From October 2023 to February 2024, Friedrich Gabel and Maira Schobert from the IZEW conducted the KIM study (Disaster Management and the Inclusion of People with Disabilities) for Aktion Deutschland Hilft e. V. At the DRK symposium, they presented the results of this work and discussed them together with Dr. Jürgen Clemens (Aktion Deutschland Hilft e. V.), Nina Köksalan (Head of the National Contact Point for the Sendai Framework at the BBK), Philipp Cachée (Disaster and Civil Protection Officer, Berlin Lichtenberg District Office), Johanne Peter (Civil Protection Officer, Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund e. V.), Oliver Wiegers (Christoffel-Blind-Mission) and Maria-Victoria Trümper (Representative of the OPD Interessenvertretung Selbstbestimmt Leben in Deutschland e. V.)
