Presentations at the Colloquium on Personnel Economics (COPE) 2023

The Department of HRM & Organization presented four compelling research projects at the 25th Colloquium on Personnel Economics (COPE) in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The conference, held from March 22-24, 2023 at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, brought together around 80 speakers and 150 participants to discuss the economic analysis of personnel policies.

 

Sarah Diederich presented a paper entitled "Role (In)Congruity and the Catch 22 for Female Executives: How Stereotyping Contributes to the Gender Pay Gap in European Boards". Kerstin Pull presented "Can you handle high expectations when encountering an early setback? The moderating role of trait resilience". Philip Yang presented his research on "A sizable advantage: Environmental and Social Performance Implications of Gender Diversity on Boards". Lastly, Raphael Moritz presented "#InviteMe: Can Social Media Information Reduce (Statistical) Discrimination?".

 

The Colloquium on Personnel Economics (COPE) was organized by Agnes Bäker, a former doctoral student and research assistant at the Department of HRM & Organization. Kerstin Pull is part of the standing scientific committee of the COPE, together with Uschi Backes-Gellner (University of Zurich), Oliver Fabel (University of Vienna), and Alex Bryson (University College London).
