Prof. Hideo Owan from Waseda University (Tokyo) visits Tübingen

From April 21 to April 22, 2026, Prof. Hideo Owan from Waseda University in Tokyo visited the Departments of HRM & Organization and Managerial Accounting at Tübingen University.
Besides giving a talk in the Business Research Seminar on “Personality Traits and Career Success: Understanding Workplace Dynamics” Prof. Owan spoke with several colleagues from the School of Business and Economics (e.g., Prof. Taiga Brahm, Prof. Patrick Kampkötter and Prof. Michael Knaus). Further, Prof. Owan met with junior researchers (PhD-students and Post Docs) in one-on-one-talks and provided valuable guidance for their projects.
Also, we seized the opportunity to plan next year’s Colloquium on Personnel Economics (COPE 2027) which will take place at Waseda University in Tokyo. COPE is an annual conference that attracts about 100 personnel economists per year and is co-organized by Prof. Kerstin Pull with Dagmar Hegedüs being responsible for the COPE-website.
We are very grateful that Hideo accepted our invitation to Tübingen and look forward to COPE 2027 in Tokyo!
