Teilprojekt G06: Drogen, Macht und Marginalisierung – Kulturelle Reflexionen von Abhängigkeit in den USA

Abstract

Teilprojekt G06 untersucht multiple Bedrohungen in amerikanischen Rassenbeziehungen seit dem frühen 19. Jh. bis in die Gegenwart. Die mit der Rassenproblematik verschränkte Ambivalenz von Drogen, die ordnungserhaltend und ordnungszerstörend sein können, bedingt die unterschiedliche Funktionalisierung von deren (kulturell konstruiertem) Bedrohungspotenzial. Es geht um die Analyse bedrohter Machtordnungen, die sich durch konfligierende Bedrohungsszenarien und -diagnosen auszeichnen, ebenso um deren Ordnungsverständnis sowie multimedial reflektierte re-ordering-Strategien.
