Application Process and Admission Requirements

The application process for the Master's programme "Democracy and Governance in Europe" takes place in a central online-process administered by the Student Administration of the University of Tübingen. For any details, please follow the hyperlinks directing you to the central webpages of the University of Tübingen.

Application Deadline at a glance

Applicants from within the EU

30 September of the year starting your studies

15 June is strongly recommended

Applicants from outside the EU

15 July of the year starting your studies

15 June is strongly recommended

Explanation for the recommended deadline of June 15

Formally, you have to apply as a non-EU/EEA citizen by June 15. As EU/EEA-citizen you have to apply by September 30.

Yet, as the programme starts in mid October with an intensive and mandatory one-week preparatory phase, we strongly recommend to apply by June 15. This leaves enough time for your immatriculation and ensures your participation in the preparatory week. Of course, you can catch up the preparatory week later within the term, but this brings along a lot of extra work. Please feel free to contact the student advisor on the details.
