Welcome to the Department of Immunology

Departmental Head: Prof. Dr. Hans-Georg Rammensee

The Department of Immunology is devoted to what is known as "Translational Immunology". We carry out basic research with a focus on T-cell biology, antibodies, antigen presentation and innate immunity, and we try to use the knowledge gained for clinical applications in close collaboration with the University Hospital. The department is presently organized in eight research groups as described in detail in our individual homepage of the Department of Immunology.
