Jean-Philippe Baudouin is a postdoc in the project PalMod which aims at modelling the climate evolution over an entire glacial cycle, since 120.000 years ago. He is responsible for delivering model-data comparison tools. He also investigates how the synoptic to inter-annual variability has evolved over the last glacial maximum, across the Holocene and may further change under a warming climate. Previously, he completed his PhD in a multidisciplinary research group, TwoRains, which investigates the potential impact of climate change on the fate of the Indus Civilisation, about 4.000 years ago. He focused on precipitation patterns and variability across timescales, and the added value of climate modelling. His interests include synoptic activity of extra-tropical disturbances, modes of variability and large scale teleconnections, and their applications to a paleo-climate context.
