Call for abstracts

We invite abstracts for oral presentations (20 minutes + 10 minutes for discussion). We accept submissions on any theoretical or formal aspect of natural language, including but not limited to phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and their interfaces. An author may submit a maximum of two abstracts to the workshop, only one of which may be single-authored.

Important deadlines

  • Deadline for submission: 1 February 2026 (anywhere in the world)
  • Notification: by the end of April 2026
  • Registration closes: 1 July 2026
  • Workshop: 19-20 August 2026

Instructions for abstract submission

Abstracts, including references and data, must not exceed two A4 or letter pages, have 2.54 cm (1 inch) margins on all sides, and be set in Times New Roman with a font size no smaller than 11pt. Examples, tables, graphs, etc. must be interspersed into the text of the abstract, and not collected at the end. 

The submission must not reveal the identity of the author(s) in any way. Submissions are limited to two per author, with at most one paper being single-authored. 

Abstracts must be submitted in docx and PDF format to claudia.heberlespam prevention@uni-tuebingen.de.

The workshop is free of charge. Please send an email to claudia.heberlespam prevention@uni-tuebingen.de if you are planning to attend the workshop. Please indicate if you have any dietary requirements when registering for the workshop.
