Nils Necke-Schmidt is studying to become a secondary school teacher of philosophy and English at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. He wrote his bachelor's thesis on Plato's Maieutics and the philosopher Leonard Nelson, who researched how to incorporate Socratic conversation into the classroom.

Nils Necke-Schmidt has been working as a student assistant in the IZEW library since 2022.
