Decolonizing Digital Education and Culture in Argentina: April 7 2022
The international research cooperation “Sympoieisis of the Invisible: Narratives about Technology in the Global South”, hosted by the International Center for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities (IZEW), focuses on digitalization, digital exploitation, and digital colonialism in the Global South.
In April 2021, a first workshop on practices and effects of digital education in Brazil was conducted. The second workshop with the title „Appropriation as Resistance“ will focus on Argentina. It will center ways to decolonize education and culture through the appropriation of technologies in cultural practices. With the goal to build a bridge between an academic and praxis-related dialogue and the nature of digital empowerment, we will invite participants from government, academia, private, civil society, and culture. Together, we will convey a comprehensive reading on the current status of Argentinian appropriation of Technology.
