On June 28, 2024, the commission of inquiry "Crisis and emergency management - shaping the future safely by learning from the past”, met in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for an expert hearing on the topic of "Crisis and emergency management in the context of climate change (vulnerable groups)". Friedrich Gabel was present as an expert for situation of persons with disabilities.
