Cooperation with Africa: Fellows from our new cooperation program start in Tübingen

Together with the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), we have set up a new collaborative program, the "Data Science & AI Fellowship". Now the first five fellows have arrived in Tübingen.

Four of our five AIMS fellows: Wafaa Mohammed, Tshenolo Thato Daumas, Bolaji Bamiro, Faisal Mohamed (from left to right).

Wafaa Mohammed (Sudan), Tshenolo Thato Daumas (South Africa), Bolaji Bamiro (Nigeria) and Faisal Mohamed (Sudan) started their research projects in February in the group of their respective Tübingen host. Tatenda Emma Matika from Zimbabwe joined the group in March.

The four-year fellowship program (2022-2025) offers AIMS master students the opportunity to apply for a fully funded six-month research stay with a group at our cluster and to start a project in Tübingen after completing their MSc.
