Exchange with Early-Career Researchers: Our Cluster at the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting
On July 3, our Cluster of Excellence had the opportunity to present our research at the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting.
The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting is a unique event: This year, it brought together around 70 Nobel Laureates and 600 early-career researchers to foster dialogue across generations and scientific disciplines. From June 28 to July 3, the event featured a vast number of talks, discussions and activities. A special highlight was the boat trip to Mainau Island on the last day of the event.
On the cruise, our postdoc Lisa Schmors took the stage and gave an engaging pitch about the research carried out in our Cluster - from building models that can predict the activity of the fruit fly brain neuron by neuron to developing AI that can suggest completely new physics experiments.
At our Cluster’s exhibition booth, our communications officer, Theresa Authaler, and Lisa Schmors welcomed many talented early-career researchers from around the world. Together with our colleagues from Cyber Valley and the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, whose booths were right next to ours, they showcased how vibrant Tübingen's research and innovation landscape is and discussed career opportunities.
