Wie lange darf ich als Nicht-EU-Bürger*in nach Abschluss meines Studiums in Deutschland bleiben, um eine Arbeit zu suchen?

Wenn Sie Ihr Studium erfolgreich abgeschlossen haben, können Sie beim Ausländeramt einen Aufenthaltstitel für die Suche nach einem Ihrem Abschluss angemessenen Arbeitsplatz in Deutschland beantragen. Diese Aufenthaltserlaubnis wird für die Dauer von maximal 18 Monaten vergeben.

Wie lange darf ich nach meinem Studienabschluss mit einer Aufenthaltserlaubnis für die Arbeitssuche einer fachfremden beruflichen Tätigkeit nachgehen?

Nach Abschluss des Studiums an einer deutschen Hochschule sind Sie nicht mehr an die Beschränkungen für die Arbeit während des Studiums (140 ganze Tage bzw. 280 halbe Tage) gebunden. Sie können bis zum Beginn einer Vollzeitbeschäftigung in jeder Art von Job arbeiten und das Einkommen als Nachweis für eine ausreichende Finanzierung verwenden. Nach 18 Monaten benötigen Sie eine Ihrer Qualifikation entsprechende Stelle, um Ihre Aufenthaltserlaubnis zu verlängern.
