Generous funding for educational research, gifted students and AI

On Wednesday, the University of Tübingen awarded the 2023 University Prize to the Hector Foundation II, which has been funding the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology since 2014. "This puts the institute in the European Champions League in educational research," said Bernd Engler, former president of the university in his laudatory speech. At the ceremony marking the Dies Universitatis, the traditional start of the semester, President Professor Karla Pollmann presented the award and acknowledged the foundation's long-standing commitment to promoting science and research. The foundation also funds accompanying research on the Hector Children's Academies, of which there are 68 in Baden-Württemberg.
