Gender

The Ludwig Uhland Institute was one of the first of the institutes working in its field to do research on the subjects of gender and the assignment of roles related to it. Today, gender and generally, aspects of diversity are to be found as a matter of course among the topics of research. There are research projects and lectures that focus on the (de-)construction of incorporated and structurally promoted gender roles. The categories of gender, age, ethnicityand disposition, in both the physical and social respect, are invariably considered in most research topics – irrespective of whether it is the region, religion, or Europeanization that is the main focus.
