Arriving in a foreign country, studying at a German university, cooking spaghetti, old expectations, new friendships and dreams for the future - students from China at the University of Tübingen share their experiences.
In order to gain an impression of their individual experiences, 12 Master's students accompanied Chinese students for one and a half years as part of a study project at the Ludwig Uhland Institute for Historical and Cultural Anthropology. Through interviews, colourful cooking evenings, joint excursions and summer picnics, 25 Chinese project partners provided insights into their everyday lives.
How do they experience their time and their studies in Tübingen? What do they like? Where do they encounter problems? And what do they ultimately take away from their chapter of life in Germany?
The exhibition “CHAPTER GERMANY 德国篇章 - Everyday Experiences of Tübingen Students from China” was created as a cooperation project and provides answers to these and other questions. It is supplemented by the exhibition volume of the same name published by TVV publishers.
You are cordially invited to the opening ceremony of the exhibition on 21 January 2022 at 4pm
The opening ceremony will take place in a online format.
