Thomas Diez has been elected as one of three new non-North American members to the Governing Council of the International Studies Association (ISA). The other new members are Monica Hirst (Universidad Torcuato di Tella, Argentinia) and Erik Melander (Uppsala, Sweden). Their term begins after this year's annual convention in February 2010 and ends in April 2012.
