Englisches Seminar

ERASMUS-Exchange

Application

The deadline for all applications (for exchanges starting in the summer or winter semester):

31st of January

for exchanges starting in the winter semester, this means
the 31st of January of the respective year (e.g., winter semester 2026-2027: 31st of January 2026).

and for exchanges starting in the summer semester, this means
the 31st of January of the previous year (e.g. summer semester 2026: 31st of January 2026).

You can apply much earlier, rather than wait out the deadline, but in any case you should send a quick email in December or January before the application-specific deadline to assure your application is on track.

You can get the physical application form from Room 516 or you can download it through the following links:

The filled in and signed application form should then be sent by email (as a scan or photo) to the departmental coordinator, Verena Bertram. For general questions regarding Erasmus, please get in touch with the International Office.

(Pages 3 and 4 containing information on the stay itself do not have to be submitted with the application.)

Applications from non-specialist students

The placement of non-specialist students (i.e. "free movers") through Scandinavian Studies is rare and without a proven affinity for the subject (e.g., through attended courses or verifiable language skills) it is not possible at all.

Unfortunately incoming applications or inquiries that do not contain the mentioned information (verifiable affinity) cannot be answered.

For details, please contact the department coordinators.

Verena Bertram is responsible for ERASMUS coordination and for the supervision of students.
