Two new ERC projects

Prof. Zeynep Akata and Prof. Andreas Geiger from the Department of Computer Science have successfully acquired two ERC Starting Grants. Congratulations!

Prof. Zeynep Akata is being funded by the ERC for her project "Deeply Explainable Intelligent Machines (DEXIM)" , in which she will examine how decisions of artificial intelligence can become more transparent and more comprehensible.

Another ERC Starting Grant has been awarded to Prof. Andreas Geiger. In his project "LEGO-3D – Learning Generative 3D Scene Models for Training and Validating Intelligent Systems ", Prof. Geiger aims to substantially enhance the possibilities of machine vision.
