To ensure that the transition to working life goes as smoothly as possible, there are a number of offers specifically for computer science students. These offers strengthen the practical relevance of the degree programs and enable students to come into direct contact with companies at an early stage.
The “Tübingen Software Project” enables students to gain an insight into real software projects during their studies. Over the course of a year, students work in teams on a project provided by our industry partners.
The ALUMNIre::port (also known as “Alumni Day”) is a one-day event in the summer semester. It gives Bachelor and Master students from the various computer science degree programs an insight into everyday working life in the IT sector. With exciting presentations and demonstrations, graduates of Computer Science Tübingen pass on their experiences to the students regarding career entry and can also introduce their employer. Afterwards, there will be a small fair with company stands and the opportunity for a relaxed chat.
During the semester, the lecture series “Informatik meets Industry” offers exciting insights into current topics in computer science from the perspective of companies. After an approx. one-hour block of lectures, there will be an opportunity for further informal discussions with the lecturers with pizza and cold drinks.
