The T. Chassé / H. Peisert Group has been investigating surfaces, interfaces, and solid thin films for many years using surface analytical and complementary methods. Current research topics are (1) basic research on thin film technologies; surface analysis, physical-chemical phenomena at surfaces and thin films; (2) organic electronics: structure and electronic properties of molecular layer systems, growth of organic thin films; (3) organic solar cells: electronic properties of absorber materials and interfaces, kinetics of degradation; (4) epitactical oxide layers: structure, growth, and electronic magnetic properties; molecular beam epitaxy, photo electron diffraction, intermolecular interactions, self organization, development of methods for surface analytics, research using synchrotron radiation.
