Nick Dannenmann is an undergraduate student of Early and Prehistoric Archaeology (major) and Palaeoanthropology (minor). Since the beginning of his studies in 2020, he has worked on several archaeological excavations in the areas of Tübingen and Reutlingen. He has also gained experience as a research assistant, participating in excavations and helping to introduce new students to excavations in the Ammer Valley. In summer 2022, Nick completed an internship at the Landesdenkmalamt. In winter 2022/23 he was introduced to Marlen's research in a seminar on primate behavioural ecology. From the summer of 2023, he has been working as a research assistant for the "Pathways to Language" group and will also be writing his Bachelor's thesis under Marlen's supervision. His tasks include annotating video recordings of social interactions in semi-wild and wild chimpanzees.
