Knowledge Design

Visualizations such as infographics, diagrams or visual abstracts play an increasingly important role in modern science and its communication: today, scientific findings are not only discovered, measured and calculated, but also shaped and designed graphically in a variety of ways. Thanks to their great vividness, appealing information and concept graphics are particularly suitable for building a bridge between science and society and fulfilling communicative hinge functions: They help to arouse interest in scientific topics and consolidate society's general participation in scientific progress.

Against this background, our formats in the context of the Sharing Knowledge communication concept convey how scientific findings and processes can be optimally presented, processed and communicated through graphic design. Our core objective is to strengthen the communication skills of scientists in the field of visual knowledge transfer and to promote dialog between science and society. To this end, we offer creative and customized consulting and workshop formats for researchers from all disciplines in Tübingen. Our main focus is on accessible, clear and intuitively understandable forms of visualization for excellent research approaches and research results, with special consideration of the potential of modern digital media.
