Participation in Ph.D. Course “Crafting Scientific Publications"

From August 25–29, 2025, Nadja Gutermann took part in the Leading House Ph.D. Course Crafting Scientific Publications: Developing a Clear Line of Argument to Communicate to Target Readers, held at the University of Zurich. The intensive 5-day course, taught by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Uschi Backes-Gellner and Prof. Dr. Kerstin Pull, focused on storytelling, structuring arguments, responding to reviewers, and academic writing in a GenAI-driven world.

Particularly valuable were the opportunities to present one’s own writing, receive constructive feedback on draft papers, and collaborate in group assignments to refine writing clarity and style. The course also provided a great opportunity to meet fellow PhD students and learn from each other.
