2024 Science & Innovation Days

Global Awareness Education, das Forschungszentrum für Wissenschaftskommunikation und das Department für Geowissenschaften der Universität Tübingen bieten im Rahmen der Tübinger Science & Innovation Days 2024 unter dem Motto „Besser streiten“ eine Reihe von Aktivitäten und Veranstaltungen an. Diese Aktivitäten konzentrieren sich auf die Bedeutung des Bewusstseins und des Austauschs über Unsicherheiten bei globalen Herausforderungen wie Katastrophenrisiko und Klimawandel für einen besseren Dialog zwischen Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft.

Graveler: Ein spielbasiertes E-Learning-Tool

Graveler ist ein E-Learning-Tool, um spielbasiertes E-Learning in den universitären Unterricht zu integrieren. Es ist Open Source und verbindet die Funktionalität eines Lernmanagementsystems und einer Konferenzsoftware mit einem Virtual-Reality-Multiplayer-Spiel.Graveler wird in den Global Awarneness Education Seminaren wie "What is Globalization?", "Global Challenges to Development: No Poverty", "CIVIS BIP Democratic Memories in Global Perspective" und "Global Migration on the Ground" eingesetzt. In diesen Kursen werden die Studenten mit Graveler auf eine virtuelle Weltreise mitgenommen, in der sie gemeinsam mit anderen Studenten Probleme in verschiedenen Städten entdecken und lösen. Im Jahr 2024 wird Graveler mit Mitteln der Stiftung für Innovation in der Hochschulbildung weiterentwickelt und ausgebaut. Ziel ist es, spielbasiertes Lernen in die universitäre Lehre und in die Ausbildung von Mitarbeitern zu integrieren, um inter- und transdisziplinäre Perspektiven zu fördern und interkulturelle Kompetenzen sowie Problemlösungskompetenz für die ökologischen und sozialen Herausforderungen unserer Zeit zu vermitteln. Into the Wild: Art and Science Collaboration

Ein spezieller Kurs, in dem das Bewusstsein für die Vernetzbarkeit und die Verletzlichkeit der verbleibenden Wildnis in der Welt durch Kunst und Wissenschaft geschärft wird. Die Studierenden haben die Möglichkeit, Zeit in einer alpinen Umgebung zu verbringen und wissenschaftliche und künstlerische Beobachtungstechniken anzuwenden, um ein tieferes Verständnis der unglaublichen Ökosysteme und Kulturlandschaften der europäischen Alpen zu entwickeln.

Globale Herausforderungen für die Entwicklung

Diese spezielle Kursreihe wird in Zusammenarbeit mit der staatlichen Universität von Maringá in Brasilien organisiert. Sie gibt den Studierenden die Möglichkeit, verschiedene theoretische Konzepte zu diskutieren, um die aktuellen Herausforderungen zu verstehen, die durch Globalisierungsprozesse in verschiedenen Teilen der Welt entstehen. Jeder Kurs wird sich auf eines der globalen Nachhaltigkeitsziele, die Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), konzentrieren.
