Wi-Fi Access Point (AP)

Wi-Fi APs can be installed at the University of Tübingen in accordance with the WLAN service agreement (download after registration from the pages of the staff council).

The installation and assembly of an AP is a normal construction measure.

Configuration and operation are carried out exclusively by the ZDV.

• Identify a location that conforms to the service agreement.
• Check whether there is a free network data socket available at this location for connecting the AP.
• If there is no data socket available, you must submit a building application via the respective Hausvogt for the installation of a data socket for connecting an AP.
• If an installed and usable data socket is available, send an informal email to supportspam prevention@zdv.uni-tuebingen.de with the information:
  Applicant, installation location of the AP (building, floor, room number) and number of the unused network socket.
  The ZDV will contact you and coordinate the further procedure.
