The research comprises the topics

• "Stellar Atmospheres" (working group Prof. Klaus Werner) working "quantitative spectral analysis of stellar spectra of white dwarfs and neutron stars"
• "Experimental High Energy Astrophysics" (working group Prof. Andrea Santangelo) working on "X-Ray and Gamma Astronomy" and "Ultra High Energy Astrophysics"
• "Space-based Astronomy" (working group Prof. Beate Stelzer) working on "star formation", "magnetic activity" and "binary stars"
  as well as "Experimental UV Astronomy"

Facilities
