We welcome Larry Hedges from Northwestern University

Lecture on Thursday, January 18, at 6 p.m.

Larry Hedges is one of the leading experts in randomized controlled field studies and works for the Weinberg College in the department of statistics and data science. His research interests lie in the development and application of statistical methods for the social, medical and life sciences. A major interest is the combination of results from different studies to draw general conclusions (meta-analysis). He will give a lecture on Thursday, January 18, at 6 p.m. in the Alte Aula, Münzgasse 30 Tübingen. The talk is entitled "20 years of (400+) randomized trials sponsored by the US Institute of Education Sciences" and will provide a great overview over the types of trials that have been run in the US over the last two decades and what educational research has learned from them and can learn for future projects.
