Tübingen-Unterjesingen, Ammerbühlen

Based on visible settlement traces on a geomagnetic mapping our research on Early Neolithic was continued in autumn 2021 on the site Ammerbühlen. The site is located on the western outskirts of Unterjesingen (district of Tübingen), north of the road B28 and on the border with Amb.-Pfäffingen. During the excavations the remains of another LBK longhouse were uncovered. The site is situated directly on the bank of a wetland proven by drill soundings which extended from Amb.-Pfäffingen to about the region of the Schwärzlocher Hof along the Ammer river valley.
