Lecture at "Tag der Heimatpflege"
On October 15, 2021, participant Claudia Lemmes from the Institute of Historical Geography and Ancillary Historical Sciences at the University of Tübingen gave a lecture at the "Tag der Heimatpflege" in Bad Waldsee. The project with its interdisciplinary character was presented to the participants of the conference.
Sediment Core Sampling
The sampling of the new sediment cores took place from 5 - 9 July 2021 in Hemmenhofen. For the planned high-resolution analyses, the sediment cores were sampled using rails (Nakagawa 2012). The sediment sections obtained in this way were then further divided and distributed to the individual subdisciplines. The next step is the sample preparation.
Drilling in Lake Stadtsee
From 7 - 11 June 2021, our drilling campaign was successfully carried out. Three sediment cores were taken in the deepest part of the city lake and a total of 24 m of new core material was obtained. In addition, there were four short cores along transects and water and plankton samples on the current state of the water body
