About Dr. Jonas Kukla
After completing a PhD in mathematics at the University of Tübingen, I started working as an actuary in the automotive insurance department at Württembergische Versicherung AG in 2021. Our responsibilities include data analysis, developing statistical and pricing models, calculating and predicting economic metrics and providing support to management and operational departments. In addition to statistical understanding and affinity for numbers, critical thinking and communication skills are crucial. While prior knowledge is beneficial, we offer a comprehensive onboarding program. The interview and subsequent discussion may encompass differences and similarities to studies and work in academia and the potential impact of new technologies like machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.
