Hosting option for Students

Thank you for your interest / your engagement!
Students of the University of Tübingen are asked to offer fellow students from other universities that participate in KogWis 2014 a free room / bed / couch. We believe that attending a conference should not depend on the money a student has, it should rather be a matter of interest. To turn this into reality we need as many students as possible, who are able to host student participants from other universities.
Further benefits for the host and the guest are:
- The personal and academic experience and intellectual exchange between the students from related disciplines but different universities.
- For the participants to get to know Tübingen better also from a student’s perspective.
- To directly get to know new people with similar interests.
For hosts:
If you are willing to share a room with a participant, please send an E-Mail to:
kogwis2014-have-room@inf.uni-tuebingen.de containing the following information:
- Your Name
- Your Course of studies and semester
- Your Address
- The type of room / sleeping accommodation and if a camping mat and / or sleeping bag is necessary
- How many people you can host
- If the available hosting dates differ from the conference dates
- Your gender (sometimes gender is not identifiable by the name)
- If you prefer a guest of the same gender (yes or no, where no means it does not matter to you)
Please use your Tuebingen university E-Mail address to send your E-Mail to kogwis2014-have-room@inf.uni-tuebingen.de. We will then establish the contact with your guest and you can then go ahead and discuss with him / her / them further details.
For guests:
If you want to use this opportunity and get a free accommodation from a student of Tübingen university please send an E-Mail to kogwis2014-need-room@inf.uni-tuebingen.de containing the following information:
- Your Name
- Your Course of studies, semester and university
- Your Address
- Your planned dates of arrival and departure
- Your gender (sometimes gender is not identifiable by the name)
- If you like to have a host that is the same gender as you are (yes or no, where no means it does not matter to you).
If you like to participate and be offered a room by a student from Tübingen, please use the E-Mail address that you have also used to register for the conference to send your application to kogwis2014-need-room@inf.uni-tuebingen.de. We will then establish the contact with an available host and you can then go ahead and discuss with him / her further details.
