Prof. Dr. Viktoria Eschbach-Szabo wurde Mitglied im Projekt von Prof. Sadanobu Toshiyuki, Kyoto University für die "AI Sprachsynthese für die linguistische Untersuchung von Sprechstörungen in verschiedenen Sprachen von Native speaker und die Konsequenzen für den Sprachunterricht". Das Projekt läuft von 2026-bis 2031 und wird finanziert von der Japan Society in the Promotion of Science. 

Project 26K21714, "Cross-linguistic and Interdisciplinary Studies on Native Speaker Disfluency and Its Applications to Language Education and AI Speech Synthesis," is a KAKENHI research project led by Toshiyuki Sadanobu of Kyoto University. Running from April 2026 to March 2031, it investigates native speaker hesitations, repetitions, and repairs across languages to improve AI speech naturalness and language pedagogy.
