Research findings discussed in Planet Football Report
13.07.2017 – One of the essential questions facing sports organisations today is how to grow in an increasingly competitive and globalised market place while, at the same time, staying true to their core values.
The recently published Planet Football Report includes views from leading clubs and organisations including UEFA, LFP, FC Barcelona, AS Roma, VFL Wolfsburg, FC Schalke 04 and FIFPro (World Players’ Union). Its goal is to provide thought leadership on how best to reach out to a globally connected generation of fans while ensuring that football’s purpose and local roots are not forgotten.
One chapter in this report discusses the implications that can be derived from a recent research project conducted by Georgios Nalbantis and Tim Pawlowski (both University of Tübingen) on US Demand for International Football Telecasts.
