Faculty of Humanities

Committees

In order to make the decision-making processes at the faculty more transparent, we would like to introduce you to the members of the faculty's most important committees on these pages.

Deanery

The Deans' Office consists of the Deans, the Deputy Dean, the Vice-Deans, and the Dean of Studies. The departmental spokespersons and the Equal Opportunities Officer participate in the regular meetings in an advisory capacity.

Faculty Council

The Faculty Council is a decision-making body of the faculty that deals with all matters of fundamental importance to the faculty. The council consists of elected members from all status groups: professors, research assistants, research support staff, students and doctoral candidates.

Study Committees

A study committee develops recommendations on how to further develop the programme and how funds for study and teaching should be used. It also participates in the evaluation of teaching, taking into account student feedback on courses.

Boards of Examiners

Examination boards are established at the departmental level. They exist for teacher training programmes, as well as for Bachelor's and Master's programmes.

Doctoral Studies Committee

The Doctoral Studies Committee makes all decisions for which the valid doctoral studies regulations do not provide specific provisions.

Habilitation Committee

The Habilitation Committee decides on all matters relating to the acceptance and realisation of habilitations.

Ethics Committee
