Studying Abroad

Study abroad opportunities are available as part of the master’s program and are encouraged and supported by the institute. For stays within the EU, planning should begin approximately one to one and a half years before departure. For stays in non-European countries, preparations should begin up to two years in advance due to earlier application deadlines. An overview of the various renowned universities around the world with which the University of Tübingen maintains partnerships can be found here: Non-European Exchange. Further general information on studying abroad is available on the University’s website “Ways to go abroad”.

Since no fixed time frame is reserved for stays abroad during the regular course of study, individual counseling is required in every case. Students planning a stay abroad should therefore contact their academic advisor early on to ensure the best possible integration into their individual study plan. If students wish to integrate their stay abroad into the Master’s program without extending the duration of study (i.e., within the planned four semesters), a stay abroad is recommended for the 4th semester. Further options for integrating stays abroad can be explored during the individual consultation.

Every fall, an information session on opportunities to study abroad is offered for EBPP students. Invitations are sent via email.
