Dr. des. Franziska Eckerskorn

I am fascinated by how people perceive their own abilities, how these beliefs shape their emotional experiences, and what implications they have for learning, well-being, and educational development.

Franziska Eckerskorn is a postdoctoral researcher at the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology at the University of Tübingen and project coordinator of the TOSCAneo study. Her research focuses on motivational and emotional processes as well as individual differences in educational contexts.

Her previous research has primarily focused on academic self-concepts, mindsets, and achievement emotions. She is particularly interested in the interplay between relatively stable beliefs and situated psychological processes, as well as in understanding why individuals experience similar learning and achievement situations differently. Her current research interests also encompass self-regulation, psychological well-being, and individual developmental trajectories across educational transitions.

Methodologically, she primarily employs longitudinal, experimental, and multimodal research designs, as well as multilevel analyses.
