Dear University sports enthusiasts

We are once again offering additional spots in select courses at a discounted rate (to be published in the course list starting June 3). This gives you the opportunity to further improve your fitness and health or perhaps try out new courses. You can identify the courses for which additional spots have been made available by the new booking date listed for the respective course. Please note that the 3-course-rule does not apply.

Registration begins on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Participation in the courses is possible starting Monday, June 15, 2026.

So mark this date in your calendar right away and secure one of the discounted tickets!

Since October 1, 2025, the University of Tübingen’s parking spaces have been managed by the Baden-Württemberg Parking Authority (PBW) and are subject to a fee. This also applies to the parking spaces at our sports facilities at Alberstraße 27 and Wilhelmstraße 124. Renovation work began last week. It is likely that the camera and payment machine will be installed before the start of the semester, though it could happen sooner.

We have explained the unique situation at the sports complex to PBW and outlined the needs of our users. Unfortunately, however, we have not yet been granted an exemption.

The design of the parking management system (including payment methods) is entirely up to the PBW and thus beyond our control; we also do not receive any share of the fee revenue. We do, of course, take feedback—for example, regarding contactless payment—seriously and pass it on to the PBW in its entirety; however, it is even better if users contact the PBW directly to make the issue clearer.

We, too, are dissatisfied with the current situation and continue to actively advocate for improvements.
