Tübingen University Sports Ranks Among the Nation’s Best
In the university rankings published by the General German University Sports Association (adh), Tübingen ranks 5th.
The athletes at the University of Tübingen rank among the very best in the country. In the overall ranking of German universities for 2025 recently published by the adh, Tübingen ranks 5th as the top individual university. This marks the greatest improvement in the rankings compared to its 15th-place finish the previous year. In the competitive sports category, the rankings are determined based on participant numbers, their placements, and the hosting of competitive events.
University of Tübingen’s intercollegiate athletics also performs exceptionally well in the 2025 education ranking. In the ranking of universities with more than 15,000 students, Tübingen ranks 4th. This ranking evaluates the organization and quality of events as well as participation in educational programs.
