Unexpected success at 24-Hour Swim in Mühlacker
Team of former swimming course participants from Tübingen and Frankfurt takes 2nd Place.
What do enthusiastic HSP swim class participants do when they can’t pursue their passion because the university swimming pool is under renovation? They swim and train elsewhere—even for 24 hours straight!
The “Defizit Delfine Tübingen” team, led by Dr. Peter Bergholz, took part in the 24-hour swim in Mühlacker on May 15, 2026, and grew closer and surpassed themselves as the event progressed.
In an extremely close final stretch, the team—composed of former participants in HSP swimming courses—even managed to move past the favored Streamliners and the team from 1. BSC Pforzheim to take second place, an achievement that was rewarded with a trophy and celebrated accordingly at the awards ceremony. The HSP Tübingen team was sure to earn the recognition of the other teams as well!
